What is Boldly Balance?
A small, independent website that helps yoga-minded people find a retreat that fits how they actually feel — not just a place to go. It's a short, hand-picked list plus a quiz that matches you to it, organized by intention (stress relief, deepening practice, a solo reset, and so on) rather than by destination.
Is Boldly Balance a booking platform?
No. We don't process bookings, take a commission, or run ads. Each retreat page links out to that retreat's own operator site, and any actual booking happens there, entirely outside Boldly Balance.
How does the AI matchmaking quiz work?
The two-minute quiz asks about your goal, preferred yoga style, experience level, budget, trip length, and whether you'd rather go solo or with others. Your answers are matched against the full retreat list, and you get back a short, ranked set of suggestions with a plain-language reason for each match.
Do I need yoga experience to use Boldly Balance?
No. Retreats are tagged by intensity (Gentle, Moderate, Intensive) and several are explicitly Beginner-Friendly. The quiz asks your experience level directly and weighs it in the match, so it won't point a first-timer at an advanced Ashtanga intensive.
Is Boldly Balance free to use?
Yes. Browsing the list and taking the quiz cost nothing and don't require an account. There's no paywall, subscription, or lead-gen form.
How is the retreat list chosen?
By hand, deliberately kept small. We'd rather have a few retreats we can genuinely stand behind than a large directory of listings we haven't vetted, so the list grows slowly and nothing is sponsored into a higher spot.
Can I list my retreat on Boldly Balance?
Yes — sign in with just an email at /operator/login (no password) and submit your listing: description, location, price band, a link to your own booking page, and up to five photos. Every submission, and every edit afterward, goes through review before it's live — approved quickly if it fits, or sent back with specific feedback if something needs work first. Nothing is pay-to-list; review is about fit and quality, not payment. You can unpublish or delete your own listing at any time.
